Dexter wins a Red Dot Award 2020: An award-winning partnership with an award-winning robot

Dexter’s unique approach to robotic surgery has been awarded a 2020 Red Dot Award. This is yet again a testimony to the ingenious work carried out by the Distalmotion team in close collaboration with our like-minded partner McKinsey Design.
While robotic surgery is a health-care reality with promising benefits, widespread adoption of the technology has remained elusive. That is for the legacy approach to robotic surgery, bringing a complexity and high costs. Distalmotion and McKinsey Design worked together to bring a simplified and more cost-effective surgical robot to life.
